Q: Do I need a domain name? What should it be?
A: Yes you do need a domain name. It is how your website will be found and Steam Multimedia includes a free .co.uk domain name in the price of any website. As for the actual name of the domain, it should ideally be the company name or be close to the company name. It is also possible to feature hyphens within a domain name in order to provide a unique URL. Another suggestion is a combination of the company name and your operational area(s). For example www.MyCompanyScotland.co.uk.
Q: How much will my website cost?
A: Each website created by Steam Multimedia is hand crafted and tailored exactly to the needs of each individual client. This of course means each individual price will differ. The price can be tailored to a payment plan to suit your business and its budget.
Q: How long will it take to complete my website?
A: Construction time depends heavily on the requirements of your website. However, we aim to deliver a standard bespoke website in roughly 3-4 weeks. Talk to one of our consultants for more information.
Q: Can Steam Multimedia provide images and graphics that suit my business?
A: Yes. Steam Multimedia has a large bank of images and graphics to suit most businesses.
Q: Will I be able to update my website once it's complete?
A: Yes. By making use of our maintenance packages, Steam Multimedia can ensure that all content is kept fresh on the website and new features can be added. If you prefer a more hands-on approach, with our content management system you will be able to maintain the content of your website yourself with simplicity.
Q: If I don't want to update my website myself can Steam Multimedia do it for me?
A: Of course. Our support team can offer a range of maintenance options that will save you time and keep your website refreshed and up to date.
Q: How do I pay for my hosting and maintenance charges?
A: You can either pay by check, BACS or set up a Standing Order (preferred) between your bank/building society and Steam Multimedia. Hosting and maintenance charges can be paid monthly, quarterly or yearly. Whatever suits you and your business best. Maintenance and updates outwith any packages is invoiced separately.
